Poh Chye joined DBS in October 2000 and held various positions within the Financial Institutions Group. He was promoted to Managing Director in March 2005 and was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Corporate & Investment Banking Group in January 2007. In November 2008, he remained as COO of the expanded Institutional Banking Group which covers all corporate and institutional clients as well as the Global Transaction Service Group, and also took on the position as Head of Global Financial Institutions.
Poh Chye has 28 years of corporate & investment banking experience. Before DBS, he was the General Manager, Financial Institutions Division of Royal Bank of Canada¡¦s Asia operations. Prior to that, he held various regional corporate banking, credit and loan syndication positions in his 19 years with RBC.
A Singapore citizen, Poh Chye holds an MBA (Investment & Finance) from University of Hull and a Bachelor¡¦s Degree in Business Administration from National University of Singapore.
