Dr. Christina Liu is a well-known economist, educator and former legislator. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Chicago specializing in international trade, international finance, and macroeconomics. Dr. Liu currently serves as the Chief Economist and Chief Economic Advisor for Chinatrust Commercial Bank, Economic Advisor to the President of Taiwan and the Executive Yuan, member of the Taiwanˇ¦s Tax Reform Committee, Chief Advisor of the Chinese National Federation of Industries (CNFI) and International Committee Chair for the Taiwan Financial Services Roundtable (TFSR). She served two terms in the Legislative Yuan of the Republic of China (including as Finance Committee Chair). As an educator, Dr. Liu is currently also a Professor of Finance at the National Taiwan University and Professor at the Tsinghua University (Beijing) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was a visiting Professor at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Australia and Assistant and Associate Professor for the Department of Finance at the City University of New York. In addition, Dr. Liu speaks regularly at various economic & financial forums and is a columnist for Business Today, The Journalist, The Commonwealth, China Times, United Daily News, Economic Daily News and Apple Daily News in Taiwan.
