Kuala Lumpur – The ABA is inviting bank officers to participate in the short-term visiting program that the Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) will host in Kuala Lumpur on October 18-19, 2018.
The primary objective of ABA’s short-term visiting program is to provide member banks the opportunity to study and undergo training on specific aspects of the operations and facilities of an advanced banking organization such as Maybank.
The idea is to enable the visitors to: (i) enhance and upgrade their technical skills and knowledge in specific banking areas in the distinct and peculiar social, economic and business environment of the host country, and (ii) gain first-hand knowledge of the operations, systems and work procedures of the host bank’s various line departments.
Maybank’s program for October 18-19, 2018 will cover (1) Maybank’s International’s Journey, Mission & Aspirations, (2) Compliance, (3) Banking Hall Tour, (4) Risk, (5) Maybank Group Wealth Management Business, (6) Transaction banking/Global Markets and (7) Subject to be determined. ABA encourages bank members to take advantage of this opportunity to learn from Maybank’s experience in several key banking operations.
NO PARTICIPATION FEE
There is no participation fee for bank members. However, participants shall cover their airfare and hotel accommodation.
The two-day Maybank Program will take place at the Maybank Headquarters, which is located at Menara Maybank, 100 Jalan Tun Perak, 50050 Kuala Lumpur.
Maybank will be recommending shortly a hotel where program participants may stay under corporate rates to be negotiated by Maybank. We will advise you the name of the hotel soonest.
