Mr. Nguyen Van Anh is the Member of the Board of Directors of Vietnam JSC Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank).

Mr. Anh started his career with State Bank of Vietnam (Central Bank of Vietnam) in 1994.

Having more than 30 years of experience in banking sector, Mr. Anh has held various management positions in the State Bank of Vietnam. He was Deputy Head of Exchange Rate Policy Division, Deputy Head of Foreign Reserve Management Division, Deputy Head and then Head of Capital Transactions Management Division, Deputy General Director of Foreign Exchange Department; then General Director of Central Banking Department and General Director of Reserve Management Department.

He also was the Member of the Board of the International Bank for Economic Co-operation (Russia) from 2010 to 2015.

Mr. Anh holds a Bachelor of Economics from National Economics University (NEU), Bachelors of Foreign Languages from University of Languages and International Studies (VNU-ULIS) in Hanoi, Vietnam and  a Master of Economics and Development from Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra, Australia.
