The Asian Bankers Association (ABA) is pleased to invite you and your colleagues to attend the 27th edition of The Asian Banker Summit, taking place on 13–14 May 2026 at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. The Summit will bring together more than 800 senior leaders from banks, central banks, regulatory bodies, and technology organisations across over 20 countries.
Introduction
As financial institutions move beyond experimentation into execution, this year’s Summit will focus on how banks are redesigning operating models, strengthening resilience, and responding to increasingly complex and interconnected financial ecosystems.
The programme offers a valuable opportunity to gain insights into how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping banking models, engage directly with policymakers, bank CEOs, and technology leaders, and explore developments in cross-border finance, payments, and regulation. Participants will also benefit from networking with senior decision-makers from across the region.
Agenda
The Summit will feature three flagship conferences—(1) Financial Technology Innovation Conference, (2) Transaction Finance Re-Invented Conference, and (3) Beyond Borders: Financing Growth in a Fragmented World—alongside a series of exclusive, closed-door CXO roundtables. These include the Heads of Technology Roundtable, Heads of Transaction Banking Roundtable, and a Leadership Dialogue Luncheon for senior executives and policymakers.
Speakers
The event will host more than 70 distinguished speakers from government, regulatory authorities, financial institutions, and technology innovators. A featured keynote speaker is Patrick McHenry, former Chairman of the U.S. House Financial Services Committee and a key architect of financial regulation in the United States. He will be joined by prominent industry leaders including:
- Simon See, Global Head, NVIDIA AI Technology Centre
- Dr. Norhana Endut, Assistant Governor, Bank Negara Malaysia
- Kenneth Gay, Chief FinTech Officer, Monetary Authority of Singapore
- Sebastien Avot, MD & Regional Head, Institutional Cash & Trade, APAC, Deutsche Bank

Designed as an executive learning platform, the bootcamp will focus on the practical implementation of AI in banking, covering governance, architecture, risk, talent, and organisational transformation.
