shares

The ABA Secretariat would like to invite ABA members and friends to join the webinar on Powering the Transition: Taiwan’s Sustainable Finance Strategies & Market Outlook organized by the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF), an Associate Member of ABA, in collaboration with the UK-based Z/Yen Group (FS Club) to be held Thursday 21 May 2026 at 09:30-10:30 BST.

As the global transition toward net zero accelerates, sustainable finance is becoming an increasingly important driver of capital allocation, investment decisions, and financial market development. Taiwan has made notable progress in advancing its sustainable finance agenda, particularly in ESG bond market development, transition finance, regulatory frameworks, and alignment with international standards.

This 60-minute webinar will bring together representatives from the Taipei Exchange (TPEx), global asset management institutions, academia, and industry experts to discuss Taiwan’s evolving sustainable finance landscape and market outlook, including ESG evaluation frameworks, sustainable bond markets, and transition finance opportunities arising from industrial decarbonization. The webinar will also provide international investor perspectives on Taiwan’s growing role in sustainable finance and capital markets.

Speakers

  • Dr. Jerry Lin, Deputy Director, Financial Research Institute, Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF)
  • Ms. Ivana Chen, Assistant Vice President, Bond Department, Taipei Exchange (TPEx)
  • Professor Michael Mainelli, Chairman, Z/Yen Group
