Daniel Wu is a seasoned financial leader with over 30 years of cross-border experience in the U.S., Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He specializes in driving business expansion for international financial institutions across Asia. Daniel holds an MBA from the University of Rochester.
Throughout his distinguished career, Daniel has held several high-profile leadership roles, including President of CTBC Financial Holding, Chief Strategy Officer at Taishin Financial Holding, and senior regional head positions at Goldman Sachs Asia, CIBC, and Bankers Trust.
Daniel is a pivotal figure in regional banking and holds the distinction of being the only individual served three times as Chairman of the Asian Bankers Association (ABA) (2014–2018; 2024–2025). Under his visionary stewardship, the ABA saw transformative growth through the promotion of Basel III standards, IFRS integration, and fintech innovation. In 2023, he was honored with the title of Chairman Emeritus in recognition of his enduring legacy. He currently chairs the ABA Advisory Council.
