ADFIAP_LogoTaipei – ABA invites bank members to participate in the “International Study Tour on MSME Development Programs and Policies of Taiwan” scheduled to take place on October 30-November 3, 2017 in Taiwan. The Study Tour is jointly organized by the ABA and the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP). (www.adfiaf.org), a regional association of development financing institutions in countries around the Asia-Pacific region.

The one-week Program aims to provide an opportunity for participants to learn the best practices of specialized financial institutions and government organizations in Taiwan whose mandates include entrepreneurship development and extension of loans and other financial facilities/services to SME/MSME sectors. It is structured to give a more relevant and practical perspective on Taiwan’s SME financing and development through visits to policy and regulatory agencies, to conduits of MSME funds both in the private and public sectors, various microfinance institutions and multilateral organizations. It is designed to serve as a platform for exchanging views, ideas and best practices among bankers and relevant government agencies in promoting the growth and development of MSMEs

Target participants are senior officers and managers of banks and financial institutions from Asian countries involved in every facet of SMEs/MSMEs development.

Interested banks can download the Brochure on the Study Tour and the Tentative Program. Please let us know your interest in joining the Study Tour by filling out the attached Confirmation Form and sending it back to us by September 15, 2017.
