FT webinar on “Efficiency in Corporate & Investment Banking”

New ways for COOs to increase productivity, cut costs and boost competitiveness

Hosted by the Financial Times in partnership with Williams Lea, ABA members are invited to join this complimentary webinar on Thursday 13 May at 15:00 – 16:00 BST to hear expert panel of COOs and a CEO discuss what it takes to ensure the smooth running of corporate and investment banks in today’s volatile and risky commercial environment.

Moderated by Stephen Morris, Banking Editor, Financial Times, they will examine the main operational challenges, new ways to improve core and support functions and which functions are best handled internally.

Key topics to be discussed:

The challenges. What are the main operational difficulties facing today’s corporate and investment banks?

New ways to improve core functions. In which core areas are COOs and other executives with operational responsibilities under the most pressure to improve efficiency and reduce costs?

New ways to improve support functions. In which ancillary areas are COOs and other executives focusing to create efficiencies and reduce costs? How are they doing this?

In-house versus outsource. Which functions – core and support – are best handled internally, and which are best contracted out to external suppliers?
