2022 Asia Symposium – Central Banks in the Digital Age

ABA invites members to participate in the Symposium on Asian Banking and Finance sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The Symposium will be held virtually and scheduled for 5:30 pm to 8pm on September 27, 2022, San Francisco time / 8:30am to 11am on September 28, 2022, Singapore time.

This year’s Symposium, entitled “Central Banks in the Digital Age,” will feature a fireside chat with Ravi Menon, Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Mary Daly, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. It will also include a moderated panel discussion on digital assets.

The theme in 2022 focuses on digitalization and innovation. Innovative technologies have brought profound changes to the global economy and enabled innovations in the financial sector. The agenda will discuss various ways that digitalization and technology are impacting central banks today, including implications for monetary policy, the public sector’s role in promoting and harnessing innovation, and the future of digital assets.

The Asia Symposium is usually a two-day, invitation-only physical event alternating between San Francisco and Singapore. Given ongoing circumstances, this year’s event will be held virtually and be open to the public.

The agenda and registration details can be found HERE.
