CTBC Bank to host 40th ABA General Meeting and Conference in Taipei 18-19 November 2024

The Asian Bankers Association is pleased to inform its members and friends that this year’s 40th ABA General Meeting and Conference is scheduled to take place on November 18-19, 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan, with the CTBC Bank Co. Ltd. as co-organizer.

As in previous years, the two-day event is designed to once again provide another valuable platform for ABA members to meet and network with each other, as well as to exchange views with invited experts on:

(a) Current trends and developments in the regional and global markets that are expected to have a significant impact on the banking and financial sector of the region, and
(b) How industry players can address the challenges – and take full advantage of the opportunities – presented by these developments.

We are, therefore, counting once again on your valuable participation for the successful outcome of our annual gathering this year. Should you have questions at this stage, please do not hesitate to let us know.

In the meantime, in preparation for the 2024 Conference, the ABA Planning Committee is scheduled to meet virtually on March 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM, Taipei time. The main agenda is to discuss and finalize the Conference theme and topics, Conference format and program, possible line-up of speakers, and other related matters.

In this connection, ABA would like to seek suggestions on issues which members think are of current concern in the financial market and the banking sector of the region as a whole, and should be discussed by members during our 2024 Conference. Please let ABA know thoughts by accomplishing the Suggestion Form and returning it to ABA through our e-mail address at aba@aba.org.tw

ABA would appreciate hearing from you by February 15, 2024, if possible, to give us enough time to circulate all suggestions to the Planning Committee for consideration prior to its meeting.
