BEA Wins Best SME’s Partner Gold Award for Three Straight Years

07 BEAThe Bank of East Asia, Limited (BEA) today announces that it has won the “Best SME’s Partner Gold Award”, organized by The Hong Kong General Chamber of Small and Medium, for three consecutive years, in recognition of its long-standing support of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Hong Kong. Mr. Ken Kwan, Head of Enterprise Banking Department at BEA, accepted the award on behalf of the Bank at a ceremony held in November 2020.

“We are honored to receive this award. BEA grows alongside SMEs in Hong Kong and works closely with SME clients, catering to their diverse banking needs in an everchanging business environment, especially during the unprecedented challenges brought by COVID-19.” said Mr Kwan. “We have offered a series of supportive measures to relieve SME stress during the pandemic and are strengthening our services within the Greater Bay Area to meet their growing cross-border banking needs.”

BEA has been recognized for its support for SMEs by the Chamber every year for the past 13 years, receiving the “Best SME’s Partner Award” for 10 consecutive years from 2008 to 2017, and the Gold award every year from 2018 onwards.

Commenting on the Bank’s new initiatives for SMEs, Mr. Kwan said “To further shorten the loan approval lead time, the Bank has streamlined the approval process. To provide a one-stop solution to SME customers, the Bank has also invested more resources to further enhance SME-related services, including the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme, trade finance, corporate wealth management, treasury products, insurance services and online banking services.”
