On May 29, 2024, Mr. Ravi de Silva, Secretary-General of the Sri Lanka Banks Association (SLBA, took time from his busy schedule to meet with the Secretariat officers in Colombo. Mr. Amador Honrado, Deputy Secretary-Treasurer of ABA took the opportunity to introduce ABA and its activities to Mr. De Silva, highlighting the webinars and other training programs to which SLBA members are welcome to attend, as well as the upcoming ABA Conference to be held in Taipei in November 18-19, 2024.

For his part, Mr. De Silva briefed the Secretariat officers on the activities of SLBA, which he said mainly consist of holding regular dialogues and coordinating with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on the policy issues that are of concern to the SLBA members and the country’s banking sector as a whole.
