Courtesy Call of the ABA Secretariat on HNB Acting CEO Damith Pallewatte

On the morning of May 29, 2024 ABA Deputy Secretary Mr. Amador Honrado and ABA Senior Officer Ms. Teresa Liu made a courtesy call HNB Acting CEO Mr. Damith Pallewatte in the latter’s office at the HNB headquarters.

Mr. Honrado and Ms. Liu briefed Mr. Pallewatte on the ongoing and upcoming ABA activities, and encouraged him and the Bank to actively participate in them. In particular, they invited him to the 40th ABA General Meeting and Conference to be held on November 18-19, 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan, and represent HNB in the ABA Board Meeting that will be convened at that time.

Mr. Pallewatte assured the ABA Secretariat officers of the continued strong support of HNB for ABA and its activities. He also expressed interest in hosting an ABA General Meeting and Conference in the near future, probably in 2025 or 2026.
